There is no higher priority for Family Hearing than the health and well-being of our patients and employees.

We are closely following guidance on COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment to stay on top of all developments. We fully recognize that many of the population we serve are among the most vulnerable to diseases like COVID-19 and the flu.

In accordance with interim guidance from the CDC, we are also taking the following additional measures to further strengthen our protocols and safeguard our patients’ health:

Do I need to wear a mask?

Yes! For the health & safety of all our patients and staff, we will be requiring that masks are to be worn indoors at all of our locations.

What if I’m experiencing symptoms?

If you’re experiencing symptoms such as fever, cough, congestion, sore throat, runny nose, or shortness of breath, please do not come in the office. But feel free to contact us to see how we can help you remotely.

Can I bring family members/caregivers to my appointments?

YES bring a companion. We have an extensive screening protocol for all people who enter our building.

Can I walk-in?

Yes! But keep in mind that dropping in can create a crowd in our waiting room. If you are over the age of 60 or have pre-existing medical conditions (such as asthma, diabetes, heart disease, etc), we urge you to avoid dropping in and instead call to schedule a time to have your hearing aids serviced. We will do our absolute best to get you on the schedule as soon as possible. You can also have someone who isn’t as vulnerable to COVID-19 bring your hearing aids to the office for a cleaning.

What if I’m afraid to come into the office, but still need help?

We have flexible services offerings to meet the needs of our patients. We are able to serve people with supply orders or repairs by mail. Curbside services allow patients to enjoy the benefits of the walk-in services they’ve always enjoyed without having to step foot into the office. Many patients enjoy connecting with us via telehealth to troubleshoot challenges they are experiencing or to reprogram their devices. If an in-office appointment is needed, we are happy to arrange a time when you can come in with as few other patients in the building as possible.

Should I be worried about getting infected with COVID-19 at the practice?

Family Hearing has extensive and thorough infection control procedures, and we’re committed to helping ensure the health and safety of our community. We have protocols and systems in place to keep all patients, visitors, and health care workers safe. Right now, as an extra precaution, we are sanitizing all surfaces, tools and equipment even more frequently. We also require visitors to sign a waiver and get their temperature taken as part of our protocol.

  • Stephen Gross - a month ago - Just got new hearing aids. At every step in the process everyone I encountered was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. They took their time walking me through the process and made helpful suggestions. Their Covid 19 protocols were exemplary. I am high risk for Covid
  • Byron Plumley - 3 weeks ago - I had a very positive experience. There was appropriate COVID precaution. The appointment was time. I appreciated the professional evaluation and recommendation of the doctor of audiology. I choose to continue with Family Hearing for my needs. Great experience and my hearing is greatly improved
  • Michelle Winston - a week ago - Jennifer was personal, highly professional and took time to educate and explain things and the center and staff were attentive and well set up to accomodate Covid precautions. A number of family members have been going to The Family Hearing Center for years and I've been recommending them to many of my own patients and friends. Highly recommend The Family Hearing Center and give them an A+ rating.
