Liz is a board-certified hearing instrument specialist. She graduated with a master’s degree in communication sciences from the University of Colorado Boulder with a focus on audiology. She also has a bachelor’s degree in speech and hearing sciences and psychology from Portland State University, and she also holds an associate degree in Arabic earned while in the Marine Corps at the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center in Monterey, California. Liz entered the hearing industry in 2013, when she discovered her passion for hearing science through her own acquired hearing loss.
Liz is passionate about hearing and was very involved in her program at CU Boulder. She helped create a mentoring program for undergraduate students interested in audiology. She has worked with clients of all ages, but she has a real love for working with adults and hearing aids. Because Liz wears the current technology, she is well-versed in the ins and outs of the devices and software.
She is very excited to start this new chapter of her life at Family Hearing. Liz’s support for her community, love for hearing, and genuine enjoyment in helping people is what drew her to this team. She loves that every member of the team has unique skills and experiences, and she believes that that is what makes this team so strong.
Liz moved to Colorado in 2014 with her two sons. They love exploring the state and finding new adventures on the weekends. They all enjoy hiking, swimming, traveling, and playing with their rescue dog, Lola.
