Emily Shively, Au.D., is an audiologist at Family Hearing. She earned her Bachelor of Science in communication science and disorders from Florida State University, graduating with honors, and went on to complete her Doctor of Audiology at the University of Colorado Boulder.
Dr. Shively’s audiology calling began with a service trip to Guatemala, where she helped provide free hearing services and fit donated hearing aids for an underserved community. Since then, she has gained experience across a range of clinical settings, including work as an audiologist assistant, a residency at Denver Health, and care at a fast-paced ENT office.
During her residency, Dr. Shively served as a primary clinician, working with patients from birth to over 100 years old, providing vestibular and audiometric care. She’s passionate about helping people reclaim quality of life from hearing loss, an often-unseen condition with a significant everyday impact.
Dr. Shively was drawn to Family Hearing because of its commitment to gold-standard audiology and its genuine, family-centered approach to care. Outside the office, she enjoys reading at local coffee shops or binging any season of The Real Housewives at home with her cat.
