Hanna earned a Bachelor of Science degree in speech and hearing science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and, in May 2017, a Doctor of Audiology degree from Northern Illinois University. She is also certified as an occupational hearing conservationist (OHC). She started at Family Hearing in April 2018 and also works for Mt. Evans BOCES.
She was born with a unilateral hearing loss, but her family didn’t receive the assistance required to help her thrive. It wasn’t until an undergraduate class on hearing loss that everything changed. She finally saw all the options out there for those with hearing loss. Today, she works as an audiologist to ensure people with hearing loss get the information, skills, and technology they need to flourish. She loves helping people find those sounds they don’t necessarily know are missing.
Hanna and her husband moved to Colorado in July of 2017 and absolutely love how much there is to do outside, like hiking or camping at a national park. She even got to combine her love of travel and audiology when she spent time in Cambodia providing hearing tests for their pediatric population.
