Jennifer La Borde, BA, BC-HIS, Owner

Board-Certified Hearing Instrument Specialist

Jennifer graduated with honors from the University of Colorado at Boulder where she studied speech, language, and hearing sciences. She has been working in the hearing care industry since 2002 and joined our staff in May of 2005. As a student, she was a member of her university’s ASL (American Sign Language) club and audiology society, as well as the National Student Speech Language Hearing Association.

Her fascination with hearing loss began when she took her first ASL class at 16. Through her experience in class and getting to know the local deaf community, she became passionate about human connections and communication. She decided to study speech, language, and hearing science in college, which required her to practice hearing evaluations. She tested her parents, who both showed signs of hearing loss that could be improved with the use of hearing aids. Her love for helping people reconnect with their lives deepened. She’s incredibly proud to be Co-owner of the longest-serving hearing care practice in Boulder County and a team that takes pride in exceptional customer service.

Outside of helping people hear, she loves to dance. She has practiced ballet for over 30 years and regularly dances Argentine tango with her husband. ASL is still a big part of her life, and she regularly uses it with her patients.
