Jennifer La Borde brings deep compassion, steady leadership, and a lifelong passion for communication to her work at Family Hearing. Her journey began at age 16 when she took her first American Sign Language (ASL) class and discovered a fascination with hearing loss and Deaf culture. Through ASL and early connections within the Deaf community, she developed a profound respect for the role hearing plays in human connection — and the many ways people communicate.
This passion led her to study Speech, Language, and Hearing Science in college, where she first learned to conduct hearing evaluations. When she practiced on her own parents and discovered signs of hearing loss, it sparked a personal mission: helping people reconnect with the moments and relationships that matter most.
With a background in hearing healthcare operations and over 20 years of hands-on patient care, she ensures that every experience — clinical or administrative — reflects the high standards of service and empathy that define the practice. Whether supporting a new patient or guiding a team member, Jennifer is driven by one goal: to make hearing care feel personal, accessible, and transformative.
As a practice owner and team coach, Jennifer is equally committed to elevating the field from the inside out. She works closely with the team to mentor future providers, support career development, and implement efficient, patient-centered systems. She is passionate about creating a workplace culture that values curiosity, collaboration, and continuous growth — where everyone feels empowered to make a difference.
Outside of work, Jennifer is a proud mother of two young children — a son and a daughter — who inspire her daily with their curiosity and energy. She treasures her role as a mom and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, exploring nature, playing games, and embracing the everyday joy of growing together.
