Sydney Johnson is a fourth-year audiology extern at Family Hearing while earning her Doctorate of Audiology at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, expected in May 2027. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from the university in May 2024.

Throughout graduate school, Sydney has gained clinical experience in a variety of audiology settings, including ENT, educational, and private-practice environments. She had originally planned to become a speech therapist but discovered a deeper interest in audiology after receiving her bachelor’s degree. Once accepted into graduate school, she never looked back.

Sydney finds great satisfaction in supporting patients through their hearing journeys and seeing better hearing make a meaningful difference in their lives and those around them. She especially appreciates the support of Family Hearing’s collaborative team. Outside the office, Sydney enjoys coffee shops, traveling, and time with friends and family.
